“Morgan and Brigette were present at my last two births – one of which was my first home birth – and I could not have felt more at ease knowing I was in their care. Their energy is so easy going and friendly while remaining professional and making you feel safe and in good hands”
Aubrey
“We absolutely love their group care model – knowing that we’d have a familiar face in the room no matter what made us feel safe, held, and prepared to take on our birth! Above all, the most incredible part of working with them was the weeks of high-touch care we received as new parents after our babe was born”
Melissa
Midwifery care is about making space…
It makes space for the inward orientation of pregnancy, the softening of birth and the vulnerability of postpartum. It makes space for listening; listening to the stories that bodies bring in from this lifetime, but also from others. And, it makes space for collaborative curation between birthing person, family and midwife.
Homebody Midwifery works with birthing people in the Bay Area, specializing in low-risk pregnancies and births. We believe that birth works and in most cases unfolds safely without intervention. Midwives make space and time for birthing people to feel their way into and through their labor however they want, wherever they want. In fact, midwifery-led care across different birth settings has been shown to reduce infant and maternal mortality/morbidity, decrease medical intervention, increase satisfaction of experience and integration into parenthood.
